Nexus 7010 10-Slot Chassis
You can have max. 256 10G interfaces or 384 1G interfaces on single 7010
Also the Backplane Chasis has 1.2Tbps throughput at initial release... it means it can to higher than this. In other words 80Gbps per slot or 60Mpps (Milion Packets with each packet of min 64 byte) per slot. Which is scalable upto 230Gbps per slot...
As of now you can get 4.1Tbps of throughput and it is scalable upto 15+Tbps
System Power
There are 2 types of power supplies availale 6000W and 7500W AC. In a sigle 7010 you can have 3 power supplies max.
All these are Hot Swappable.
Fan Tray for System Cooling
There are 2 types of Fan Tray. One for System and Other for Fabrics. All these are redundant and Hot Swappale trays.
For 7K you get a nice Cable Manager's through which you can route the cables which are coming to Nexus.
Cisco has introduced Blue beacon LED's on all the components like power supply and modules, which allow for easy FRU (fault) identification.
Also there are "System LEDs" which provide aggregate view of system status like,
Power supplies
Fan trays
Supervisor engines
Fabric modules
I/O modules
In-Built Wireshark...
Nexus has inbuilt wireshark for the capture and analysis of packets. It makes your troubleshooting really eash. Isn't it nice :-)
